Aurora Photography Gallery

These amazing aurora photos were taken throughout the year from the Aurora Borealis Lodge.  Click to enlarge, or scroll over them to see what time of year each were taken.  Note:  the first 3 or 4 digits for each photo title is the date; e.g. 311-134 was taken on March 11.  1121-231 was taken on November 21.  On some, we’ve made notes, such as “fullmoon” or “lowforecast”, to show that the auroras are just as brilliant with a full moon, and that a low aurora forecast doesn’t mean they won’t be great!      And finally, there are a few shots taken during our closed season, such as in June, so that you can see that the midnight sun truly makes midnight like daytime, and thus no auroras can be seen in May, June & July.
